Restaurant Manager Job Description

Overview

The restaurant manager responsibilities include maintaining the restaurant's revenue, profitability and quality goals. You will ensure efficient restaurant operation, as well as maintain high production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Liaising with guests to ensure the guest experience is in line with the company’s ethos and best practices and making sure the customer service is excellent
  2. Respond efficiently and accurately to customer complaints
  3. Manage and coordinate the Front of the House and Back of the House restaurant operations in their daily duties
  4. Train new and current employees on proper customer service practices as per the company policies
  5. Preparing the roster and all other team scheduling and supervise the shift
  6. Being knowledgeable of the menu and each ingredient in the menu items and being able to share information about vegan practices with guests and the team
  7. Overseeing the daily cash and reporting to the company accountant on financial issues
  8. Regularly reviewing product quality and price and research new vendors
  9. Working towards achieving company set targets for performance
  10. Appraise staff performance and provide feedback to improve productivity
  11. Estimate future needs for goods, kitchen utensils and cleaning products
  12. Ensure compliance with sanitation and safety regulations
  13. Control operational costs and identify measures to cut waste
  14. Create detailed reports on weekly, monthly and annual revenues and expenses
  15. Implement policies and protocols that will maintain future restaurant operations
