Accounting Manager

Summary of Position

Urban Living Solutions is currently recruiting an Accounting Manger to be a part of an upcoming large residential and commercial development project based in Siem Reap. The project is currently in the pre-launch phase with a construction/sales launch targeted for Q2 2019. 

As an Accounting Manager, this person will be held accountable for the daily financial management of the project. 

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage all accounting activities related to real estate development project (sales, costs, cash management, P&L reporting, etc.)
  • Oversee, analyze, and manage all accounting functions (A/R, A/P, G/L, fixed assets, cash collections/deposits, monthly closing, taxation, and others)
  • Develop accounting processes – specifically creating internal controls, accounting policies, and process improvement of workflows
  • Recruit and manage internal accounting team – identify, recruit, oversee and supervise own supporting accounting staff
  • Administrate frequent financial reports – inspect and ensure proper recording of daily accounting entries and reconciliation of variances
  • Process data – compile information, analyze accounting data, and produce financial reports for management
  • Financial forecasting – assist in budgeting and business forecasting as required
  • Liaise with cooperative individuals such as Project Manager, Sales team, and external third parties

The position will report directly to the Project Manager and shareholders

Experience Required

- 3-5 years of professional experience– Ideally, this person should have prior experience working in a real estate development company (or similar environment) 
- Minimum 2 years supervisory experience – This position will eventually have 2-3 junior staff reporting to it, let us know how you will have the experience to manage a team.
- Independent and able to work under minimal supervision

Minimum Educational Level Required

Bachelor's Degree

Minimum Career Level Required

Languages Required

Fluent written & spoken English and Khmer

Other Requirements

  • Khmer Nationality
  • 4-Year education at an accredited institution– Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Auditing or related field
  • 3-5 years of professional experience– Ideally, this person should have prior experience working in a real estate development company (or similar environment) 
  • Minimum 2 years supervisory experience– This position will eventually have 2-3 junior staff reporting to it, let us know how you will have the experience to manage a team
  • Independent and able to work under minimal supervision
  • Honest, hard-working, reliable, well organized, and able to work with a team
  • Currently or willing to be based in Siem Reap
