Banquet Manager

Summary of Position

Thalias is a leading company in the Cambodian hospitality industry employing about 400 staffs. Thalias comprises three fine-dining restaurants - Topaz, Malis Phnom Penh and Malis Siem ReapArunreas– a luxury hotel, and Khéma, a dine-in and takeout gourmet shop. Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Set up hostess station with necessary supplies and maintain cleanliness at all times
  • Assist service team with side work including, but not limited to preparing cold towels, cleaning, setting table, stocking stations, folding silverware, etc
  • Greet and acknowledge all guests at the entrance courteously and in a friendly manner
  • Escort guests to the available clean tables/dining rooms and assist in seating at table and present the waiter/waitress in the station
  • Manage seating charts as well as relay pertinent information regarding guest requests to waiter/waitress and management while caring
  • Work as a team with colleagues to ensure timely service and a smooth running operation
  • Assist service team with cleaning, clearing and resetting tables
  • Assist in answering phone call courteously and efficiently in accordance with an appropriate etiquette and dealing with all guest enquiries and reservations
  • Be friendly, helpful and courteous when dealing with guests and fellow employees
  • Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional, and follow the personal hygiene and grooming standard
  • Understand and adhere to all company standards, policies and procedures, particularly, health and safety standards
  • Attend daily briefing in the restaurant and training organized by HRD
  • Perform additional duties as requested by Supervisor and/or Restaurant Manager
