Business Development Manager

Summary of Position

Our client is one of the international distributor in Cambodia which import many big international brands of wine and spirits. They are looking for Business Development Manager to develop sale/marketing strategy to achieve target and maintain relationship with stakeholders. He/she will be based in Phnom Penh.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Commercial 

  • Setting, driving and achieving targets by channel
  • Professional development of the team - reporting and skills improvement and functionality, implementation of systems
  • Understanding and improving the system for sales covering all channels of distribution
  • Finance and spending control mechanisms working and in force
  • Responsibility for the commercial budget (selling costs and on/off premise investment)
  • Appropriate field time anticipated 2-3 nights/ days a week with customers and sales team for coaching
  • Building and maintaining relationships with key on trade and modern retail stakeholders- particularly western led customers
  • Writing and negotiating proposals in detail where required
  • Key wholesaler relationships

Marketing & Sales Alignment

  • Alignment of commercial and marketing goals in conjunction with management
  • e.g. price, distribution, trade marketing, co-ordination between sales and marketing departments
  • Approval structures for expenditure in conjunction with the functional heads
  • Brand resource deployment to appropriate outlets

Brand Principal

  • Preparing reports, attending meetings, market visits- mostly relating to commercial volume & investment​
  • Proposing, executing and reporting to brand principals on investment for commercial/ channel specific/ key account specific opportunities

Other Requirements

  • At least Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, Marketing or other relevant skills
  • Minimum 3-year experience in Sale/Marketing in FMCG or F&B industry
  • Understanding of product development processes and organization
  • Strong leadership and ownership
  • Fluent in English, Khmer and other language is a plus
