Chief Accountant
Summary of Position
Teuk Saat 1001, Cambodian registered NGO acting as a non-profit social enterprise that supports community to access to safe drinking water. O-we is provided across the country through water kiosks (water-filtration plants) implemented in rural Cambodian villages, managed by local entrepreneurs, supported by Teuk Saat 1001 services (technical, quality, supply, sales & marketing etc).
TEUK SAAT 1001 is looking for Chief Accountant. The Chief Accountant will support the day-to-day activities of the Finance team by continually support the management in decision-making and planning through analysis and reporting of financial performance, maintaining effective controls over the company’s financial processes and preparing financial statements, management information, and budgets of the company in line with the internal guidelines. The Chief Accounant will be based in Phnom Penh.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Mission 1. Accounting Management
- Supervise Accountants and maintain accurate accounting record (records asset, liability, revenue, and expenses entries by compiling and analyzing account information)
- Ensure the proper use and evolutions of the chart of Accounts in accordance with the accounting principles and financial reporting standards
- Manage and balance subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, reconciling transactions; resolving discrepancies (ex. Account Receivable, Account Payable…)
- Perform month-end and year-end accounting closing activities such as bank reconciliation, cash reconciliation and journal adjustment entries
- Summarizes financial status by collecting information; preparing balance sheet, profit & loss, and other statements
- Secures financial information by completing database backups
- Projects organization's value by keeping information confidential
- Review and recommend changes to existing accounting procedures if needed
Mission 2. Control, Audit & Reporting
- Control on the operational monthly expenditures regarding the budget allocation
- Completes external audit by analyzing and scheduling general ledger accounts; providing information for auditors
- Internal control by setting up guidelines with the finance manager to certify accuracy to external partners
- Monitor and communicate the performance of the organization (KPI and P&L monitoring)
- Monitor and communicate the global performance of the production sites (operational dashboard) to support the framework
- Ensure on-time reporting to donor (Monthly calendar follow-up, qualitative monitoring of the status with each donors)

Other Requirements
Knowledge
- Five or more years of experience in accounting
- Experience in audit
- Excellent in Khmer and English both writing and speaking
- Microsoft Office
