Chief Finance Officer

Summary of Position

An investment group is looking for a Chief Finance Officer who will be in charge of supporting in formulating and delivering business direction, providing recommendations to enhance financial performance and business opportunities; and ensuring the compliance and efficiency of finance operation by overseeing and managing financial affairs of the business across its subsidiaries, and ensuring overall performance and development of employees. He/she will be based in Phnom Penh.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop finance organizational strategies by developing and implementing finance & accounting programs, policies & procedures,contributing financial and accounting information, analysis, and recommendations to strategic thinking and direction
  • Develop annual budgeting and financial forecasting; ensure timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial trends, and forecasts
  • Analyze & provide recommendation on Company’s Financial Model that support strategic direction
  • Lead and manage Finance department to meet standard delivery and employee’s capacity development - ensure sufficient direction & development
  • Monitor financial performance by measuring and analyzing results; initiating corrective actions
  • Oversee the preparation, development, and analysis of the management accounting and financial statements; ensure accurate and timely historical financial status
  • Monitor cash balances, cash flow, and cash forecasts; analyze overheads costs of projects, departments, and divisions; ensure adequate cash flow meet the organization's needs
  • Oversee the company's transaction processing systems; supervise expenses and fixed assets management; ensure timely and efficient Payment/Settlement Process
  • Review monthly payroll and ensure it has accrued in accounting systems
  • Support in acquisition due diligence and month-end and year-end close process
  • Ensure that the company complies with all legal and regulatory requirements
  • Perform other assignments as requested by the Head of Company

Experience Required

Five years of related finance and accounting management experience or Two years in managerial role is preferred.

Minimum Educational Level Required

Bachelor's Degree

Minimum Career Level Required

Manager (Staff supervisor,...)

Languages Required

Strong command of English, both written and spoken

Other Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting or in a relevant discipline; and ACCA candidate with at least completed 9 papers
  • Accounting software user
  • Ability to lead and direct with excellent administration skills
  • Strategic and solution oriented; and Patience and ability to work under pressure
  • Working knowledge of agricultural industry and/or food safety is a plus
