CLINICAL RESEARCH ASSISTANT

Summary of Position

The Institut Pasteur du Cambodge (IPC) is a research and public utility under the patronage of the State of Cambodia. It belongs to the International Network of Pasteur Institutes with whom it develops ongoing collaborations. Linked with clinical research programs, Institut Pasteur du Cambodge (IPC) will recruit a full-time Clinical Research Assistant to work on clinical research studies at the Epidemiology and Public Health Unit with one year renewable contract. Based in Phnom Penh. Several short trips in provinces. Beginning as soon as possible.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Serves as a liaison between hospitals and health centres participating to clinical research studies and Institut Pasteur
  • Performs quality control during the conduct of the study: verification of documents and data by regular visits at the clinical sites
  • Handles the resolution of queries generated by the data manager
  • Communicates with the clinical site nurses to ensure a sufficient supply of material
  • Performs data entry into the study database
  • Filling of research files
  • Backs up the Laboratory Monitor for sample tracing
  • Perform other task related to CRA assigned by Head of the Clinical Research Group

Other Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experienced in hospital work, preferably Doctor or Pharmacist or Nurse or Midwife or Bachelor degree in life sciences
  • Proficiency in Khmer and English or French
  • Monitoring experience
  • Good team work
  • Good in communication, meticulous, autonomous
  • Willing to travel
  • Willing to learn
  • Computer literacy: Word, Excel, Power Point

RECRUITMENT CONDITIONS

  • Language required: Khmer, and English or French
  • Laboratory Technician with at least 1 year experience in laboratory work.
