Communication Manager

Summary of Position

Our client is a NGO in Cambodia. They are looking for a Communication Manager who will be responsible for all the organization of the health and social activities, in accordance with the guidelines and objectives under the responsibility of the executive deputy operational director, ensures that team receives the correct information, controls their work, and builds work programs together with his team members, and also leads actions that will help improve the integration into the local community. He/ She will be based in Phnom Penh.

Main Duties and Responsibilities


  • Circulate information (events, appointments, arrivals, missions ...) to all employees
  • Prepare the annual communication plan for local institutions and the tools to put in place (posters, brochures, etc.)
  • Accompany the evolution of the association and adapt its strategy, in no way linear or immutable, to each new stage of the school life: change of activity, new positioning...
  • Supervise the communication team (composed to date of a freelance photographer and a communication assistant)
  • To come: post the information on social networks (texts and photos) related to the school activities
  • Ensure the future website is updated
  • Supervise the production of communication media (posters, posters, flyers, media for events ...)
  • Organise planned and on-demand photos and videos requests for the headquarters
  • Represent HCS occasionally at events outside the scho

Welcome missions, partners and godfathers

  • Coordinate and supervise the work of the welcome services officers


  • Supervise the sponsorship team
  • Make sure the database is up to date
  • Check deadlines for responses to sponsors and creation and shipping of postcards
  • Check gifts delivery is kept up to date
  • Coordinate with the human resources department any needs or specific punctual assistance

Team management

  • Organize the daily work of the team
  • Check the quality of work done
  • Supervise all activities and their results
  • Conduct human resource management actions (recruitment, planning, job evaluation, training, ...)


  • Take part in school events, seminars, training, outings and activities which may take place at weekends or in the evening
  • Respect school rules and regulations
  • Attend staff and department meetings
  • Liaise with all colleagues and work flexibly
  • Respond to any request made to the manager / director corresponding to the qualifications and capacity of the employee

To Executive Deputy Director

Other Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experiences in relevant field or similar
  • Essential command of French and Khmer, written and spoken
  • Good knowledge of English
  • Methodology, confidentiality and rigor
  • Excellent communication and writing skills
  • Able to work under pressure and time constraints
  • Able to manage multiple and complex projects with a creative mind
  • Comprehensive IT skills (Ms Word, Ms Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Good knowledge of Adobe CC.
