Teuk Saat 1001, Cambodian registered NGO acting as a non-profit social enterprise that supports community to access to safe drinking water. O-we is provided across the country through water kiosks (water-filtration plants) implemented in rural Cambodian villages, managed by local entrepreneurs, supported by Teuk Saat 1001 services (technical, quality, supply, sales & marketing etc).

TEUK SAAT 1001 is looking for Construction Supervisor. The Construction Supervisor is responsible for the design and the constuction supervision of the water kiosks, as per Teuk Saat 1001 standard & guidelines. In order to carry out these responsibilities, the Construction Supervisor will have to travel frequently across the different provinces and regional offices (Phnom Penh, Kampong Chnam, Battambang). He will be based in Phnom Penh.

Mission 1. Construction

• Validate the subcontractor action plan with the support of the Engineering & Innovation Manager and technical team
• Ensure compliance with programme of works
• Onsite Subcontractor management
• Witness and coordinate the testing and commissioning of the building terms of references
• Plan and quantify the land preparation works (land consolidation, road access, etc)
• Complete typical mechanical administrative duties, collect records of mechanical operations and produce daily reports
• Design model standardized water kiosk
• Proactive in contributing to improving designs and installation processes
• Experience working in confined spaces, pipe cleaning and testing, line connections and bypass system pumping operations
• Experience installing and maintaining dewatering systems - pumping
• Manage multiple crews with abilities to read and write - and be able to interpret - plans and specifications
• Fill out all daily paperwork, document daily productions, material delivery, conduct and document meetings, maintain and document all safety and equipment maintenance paperwork

Mission 2. Safety & Quality Supervision

• Assist in the production of Risk Assessments and Method Statements
• Has full knowledge of the safety program and acts as the Safety Representative
• Adheres to Safety, Quality, Ethical Standards, Health & Environment programs in accordance with Teuk Saat 1001 guidelines and Contractual commitments
• Must have had safety training in excavation and confined space as well as knowledge in hazmat and bypass pumping safety

The Engineering & Innovation Manager

Knowledge

• Must have 5+ years of construction supervisor experience and a College Degree is preferred
• Knowledge of construction practices, especially related to steel structures and concrete slabbing.
• Thorough understanding of state, local, company regulations and environmental regulations
• Experience with water plants and installation of fiberglass, PVC, concrete, and ductile pipe. This includes manholes, service connections, creek crossings, etc
• Must be physically capable for the purpose of performing the duties outlined above
• Supervisory and Management experience of sub-contractors
• Proven track record in mechanical services installation - ideally for water treatment
• Experienced in solving site problems related to land and construction
• Excellent in Khmer. Professional English both writing and speaking
• Microsoft Office, Design softwares (ex: Autocad)
