Cost Controller

Summary of Position

Thalias is a leading company in the Cambodian hospitality industry employing more than 500 employees. Thalias comprises three fine-dining restaurants - Topaz, Malis Phnom Penh and Malis Siem ReapArunreas– a luxury hotel, and Khéma, a dine-in and takeout gourmet shop. Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepare and analyze periodical report of food and beverage cost and provide relevant information regarding unusual movements or results
  • Set up effective control systems where needed in coordination with Financial Controller and the outlets. Ensure cost control measures are implemented in all outlets
  • Assist Head Chef/ Executive Chef in preparation of recipe costing and update information in the system
  • Conduct monthly market survey covering different food items to compare with market retail price
  • Verify the accuracy of the daily receiving reports, requisitions, transfers, etc.  Ensures that only authorized signatures are honored, that no alterations have been made and that the calculations are correct
  • Spot check the receiving procedures for quality, quantity and expiry dates of F&B items

Minimum Educational Level Required

Bachelor's Degree

Languages Required

English

Other Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration or related field
  • At least three year experience in the similar role in standard hotel or fine-dining restaurant
  • Have good product knowledge of food and beverage items and consumable items
  • Good organizational, analytical and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well with other staff members as part of the team
  • Good command of English both written and spoken
  • Computer literate and accounting software
  • Self-motivation, positive attitude, and attention to details and accuracy
