We are seeking for Deputy Director, Medical Center (01 position).

• As the Deputy Director of the Phka Chhouk Medical Center assist in the management of the Phka Chhouk Medical Center
• Take over the responsibilities of the Director of Phka Chhouk Medical Center in case of his/her absence
• Assist in the organization of and participate in routine meetings, such as monthly staff meetings and various technical meetings
• Assist in the preparation of routine reports to Director, and reports on the use of drugs and supplies
• Assist in the management of the Phka Chhouk Medical Center and all its resources, including staff management, management and drugs and medical supplies, maintenance of building and all equipment
• Collaborates with the Director and all Department Chiefs in achieving performance targets for the Phka Chhouk Medical Center
• Together with Department Chiefs, monitor performance against agreed targets
• As Chief of General Medicine responsible for providing good quality care to patients, in line with MoH protocols and guidelines
• Daily rounds in order to monitor status of patients and to decide on any changes in treatment
• Ensure that all relevant information is recorded clearly in patient records
• Explain clearly to the patients regarding their illness, the prescribed treatment, and any follow-up required
• Advice patients and their families about relevant health problems and provide health education when appropriate
• Supervise medical and nursing staff and give advice on how they can further improve their performance, with emphasis on the quality of care and staff’s behavior towards patients
• Ensure the implementation of infection control measures, that instruments are sterilized, the appropriate disposal of waste, and that patients wards are clean and hygienic
• Ensure that medical and nursing staff are on duty and available 8 or 12h hours per day
• Develop weekly/monthly work plans, including schedules for night and weekend duty
• Monitor staff attendance and ensure that staffs are working according to the work plans
• Take appropriate action in case staffs are absent and do not work according to the work plans
• Ensure the appropriate use of drugs and medical supplies including making sure that sufficient stock is available and reporting on the use of drugs and medical supplies
• Maintain medical equipment and instrument and make sure that the required equipment and instruments are available and ready for use when needed
• Any other task as requested by the Director of the Phka Chhouk Medical Center and with the aim to improve the functioning of the Phka Chhouk Medical Center

• RN/Medical Doctor/MPH
• At least 5 years of clinical experience
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to motivate a team of health professionals to perform well
