Executive Assistant

Summary of Position

Our client is a hospitality company in Cambodia. They are looking for a highly motivated candidate to assist the CEO and Treasurer of a large hostel group to ensure their business can achieve its current and future strategic goals. The ideal individual will have the ability to exercise good judgment and tact in a variety of situations, with strong written and verbal communication, administrative and organizational skills, and the ability to seamlessly balance among competing priorities. He/ She will be based in Phnom Penh.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manages an extremely active calendar of appointments
  • Arranges complex and detailed travel plans, itineraries, and agendas, compiling documents for travel-related meetings
  • Completes expense reports; composing and preparing correspondence that is sometimes confidential
  • Researches, prioritizes, and follows up on incoming issues and concerns addressed to the executive, including those of a sensitive or confidential nature. Determines appropriate course of action, referral, or response
  • Keeps the executive well-informed of upcoming commitments and responsibilities, following up appropriately. Acts as a "barometer," having a sense for the issues taking place in the environment and keeping the executive updated
  • Successfully completes critical aspects of deliverables with a hands-on approach, including drafting acknowledgment letters, personal correspondence, and other tasks
  • Prioritizes conflicting needs, handles matter expeditiously, proactively, and follows-through on projects to successful completion, often with deadline pressures
  • Follows up with the Leadership team and supports the cultivation of ongoing relationships to enable better execution by the team
  • Plans, coordinates and executes company-wide events for HQ with support and direction of key stakeholders
  • Produces reports, presentations and other types of documents on behalf of executive
  • Provides back-up support for Office Coordinator/Front desk activities

Bachelor's Degree

Experienced (Non-manager)

Other Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • At least 4 years of administrative experience supporting senior executives is required, ideally in both small and large organizations
  • Strong organization skills, ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks with excellent attention to detail and the capability and adaptability to manage various competing demands
  • Expert level written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Demonstrated proactive approaches to problem-solving with strong decision making
  • Highly resourceful team-player, with the ability to also be extremely effective independently
  • Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Demonstrated excellence in customer service and polished, professional response
  • Forward looking thinker, who proactively seeks opportunities and proposes solutions
  • Experience with Google Suite
