Summary of Position

A one of the leading Hotel and Resort, providing the exclusive accommodation to the customers along with sailing service is looking for executive chef.

The executive chef will be in charge of managing all kitchen personnel, food quality and supervise /coordinate all related culinary activities; estimate food consumption and requisition or purchase food, select and develop recipes, standardize recipes to ensure consistent quality, establish presentation technique and quality standards, plan and price menus, ensures proper equipment operation/maintenance and ensures proper safety and sanitation in kitchen. He/She will be based in Kep.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Staff and Team Performance:
    • Be responsible for sourcing and managing of all aspects of company’s kitchen
    • Lead and manage restaurant staff, work closely with staffs, communicate and maintain a strong rapport with fellow tem members and inspire team member for outstanding results
  • Reporting and Financial: Be responsible in report of operations and sales budget
  • Supplier relationship: Negotiate competitive pricing and terms of payment with suppliers and ensure regular meetings are held with key suppliers
  • Marketing and sales:
    • Endeavour to achieve pre-established sales targets
    • Lead the development of competitive specials and products offers
  • Guest satisfaction:
    • Lead the staff in delivering excellence in culinary and develop menu’s and food offerings
    • As a result of high food quality standards ensure repeat patronage by guests
  • Product development and product research: Review, revise and refresh dining offering on a regular basis and become familiar with the food and beverage offerings of our competitors within the destination
  • Safety and risk: Ensure the health and safety issue, ensure all staff are prepared for emergencies, conduct regular training, and ensure that risk is minimized
