Facilities supervisor

Summary of Position

Eco International School (EIS) was established in 2019 as a response to the increasing demands from parents for quality and reliable international schools and to help contribute to the education development efforts by the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport.
Eco International School: currently, we are looking for a candidate in position Facilities supervisor.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Coordinating and directing the facility repairs, maintenance of equipment and buildings at all school locations
  • Dispatching and assigning of craftspeople/contractors
  • Communicate with various agencies, vendors, community services, and the public to coordinate program and school operations
  • Meet with regulatory agencies on state and local levels as necessary
  • Support organization of school events
  • Prepare and process applications
  • Support IT and school infrastructure in terms of technical issues and projects
  • Implement school’s safety program, incl. Emergency and Disaster Preparedness
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Experience Required

-Bachelor Degree preferred, Technical School certificate a plus.
-Minimum 2 years of related experience supervising

  • Excellent facilitator with the ability to motivate, direct, and train people and collaborate and interact with others effectively and productively
  • Working knowledge and familiarity with computer systems and software programs such as ---Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Hands-on knowledge and experience in the safe operation of a variety of tools, machinery, and power equipment used in performing essential functions
  • Excellent communication skills both orally and in writing, including the ability to interact/communicate with all types of members of the community including teachers, administrators, trustees, parents and students
  • Ability to adapt behavior to function effectively in a school environment, including those specific to the traditions of the school
  • Ability to take charge but deal professionally and calmly in emergency situations
  • Ability to perform basic first aid
  • Ability to walk, stand, maintain balance, climb ladders, crouch, lift, carry, push, bend, stoop, and reach above shoulder level
  • Ability to withstand indoor and outdoor environmental conditions including dirt, dust, pollen odors, sun, wetness, rain, fumes, temperatures, noise, or machinery vibrations
  • Leadership and communication skills/ Personality Qualities
  • Strong organizational, communication, report writing, decision-making, conflict solving, facilitating skills & good interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrates ability to work independently, trustworthily, collaboratively
  • Being able to quickly solve the issue is required
  • Sensitivity and adaptability towards culture, gender, religion, race, nationality and age
