Finance Manager

Summary of Position

Our client is a young and fast growing company in Cambodia that mainly focuses on the distribution of Cables, Chemicals, Communication, Cranes, Pumps and turf & irrigation systems as well as other products that are related to the agricultural, construction and industry sector. They are looking for Finance Manager who will be in charge in planning, organizing and controlling the Finance and Accounting matters of the companies assigned and to provide management with financial and statistical information to appraise operating results, performance and trends. He/ She will be based in Phnom Penh.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Plan, develop, implement and supervise all aspects of assigned Companies’ financial and accounting control systems
  • Ensure accounting records are maintained in accordance with generally accepted accounting standards and local statutory requirements
  • Prepare and co-ordinate monthly accounts closing and reporting timetable of all Indonesia companies with Finance Manager and Accounts Executives.  Ensure timely and accurate reporting to Company Management, Regional Management and Central Services Unit (CSU)
  • Analyze and interpret monthly financial result to Company Management. Highlight to Management on major variances and recommend immediate corrective actions when necessary
  • Manage the working capital requirements of the assigned Companies within the availability of the banking facilities. Prepare and monitor the consolidated banking requirements of the companies, special focus on cash flow and forex exposure.  Highlight to General Manager on potential deficiency in banking facilities
  • Enter into foreign currencies contracts to hedge against foreign currency liabilities and assets for the purpose of protecting profit margin
  • Provide necessary assistance, guidance and advice to Department Managers in financial and administration matters for their business activities to ensure that companies’ interests and assets are protected
  • Review and establish internal control procedures and implement group policies to ensure that the Company’s interest is well protected
  • Initiate, plan, organize and direct the work tasks, duties and responsibilities of subordinates to ensure operational effectiveness.  Co-ordinate with Finance Manager and ensure proper back-up support system is set-up among subordinates
  • Prepare and liaise with Company Manager on projection and budget timetable for assigned Companies.  Ensure timely reporting base on HQ and RMD deadlines
  • Prepare and co-ordinate Accounts Executives on yearly statutory accounts and financial reporting submission to CSU. Ensure timely and uniformity in presentation by all companies.  Ensure all intercompany balances and related transactions are accurately disclosed and presented.  Attend to external and internal auditors’ questions and inquiries
  •  Any other duties as assigned by immediate superior or Senior Management

Other Requirements

  • BA of Accounting & Finance or Master of Finance or ACCA
  • A solid background in accounting and finance or audit
  • Understanding or experience in using ERP or SAP
  • At least 3 years’ experience in financial and accounting management
  • Knowledgeable in the principles of accounting and Cambodia tax regime
  • Exposure to all aspects of the Finance function, including accounting, financial analysis and management/statutory reporting, different styles and personalities of business unit leaders
  • Good at negotiation, communication and analytical skill
  • Fluent in English (writing and reporting skill)
  • Result oriented, flexible, resilience and ability to work well in team
