Summary of Position
We are looking to open a restaurant within an already very sucessful cocktail bar in the colonial quarter of Kampot. We pride ourselves on the quality of our drinks and service - which should be reflected in the quality of the food. The right candidate would be expected to use their creativity and knowledge to compose a unique menu, focusing on Western food. They will also be incharge or training additional kitchen staff, costing and stocking the kitchen. Food service will run from lunch till (late) dinner. The position allows for a lot of creativity and freedom but comes with a lot of responsibility - therefore adequate experience is very important. We ask that all aplicants be prepared to stay in Kampot for atleast 6 months.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Creating a changing, seasonal menu using fresh ingredients geared towards Western tastes
- Hiring and training kitchen staff
- Stocking kitchen
- Running lunch and dinner service
- Costing food with appropriate profit margins
- Working with bar staff on food & drink pairings
Reporting to
The General Manager / Owner
Experience Required
5+ years in the food and beverage industry
Languages Required
Basic Khmer speaking is considered beneficial.

- Commited to staying in Cambodia
