Nurse

Summary of Position

The Institut Pasteur du Cambodge (IPC) is a research and public utility under the patronage of the State of Cambodia. It belongs to the International Network of Pasteur Institutes with whom it develops ongoing collaborations.

Linked with our public health activities, the Institut Pasteur du Cambodge (IPC) will recruit two medical doctors and two nurses to work fulltime at Rabies Vaccination Center based in Battambang province. The contract is for one year, renewable, as staff to the Epidemiology and Public Health Unit, IPC.

Beginning Mid-February, 2018.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform quality application of the rabies prevention protocol
  • Give injections (immunoglobulin and vaccines against rabies and tetanus)
  • Provide basic care of wounds related to animal bite
  • Provide assistance to medical doctor in different activities of the rabies prevention center
  • Insure necessary opening of the rabies prevention center during public holidays for the benefit of patients
  • Respect work timing and IPC internal rules

Languages Required

Khmer, English or French

Other Requirements

  • Cambodian nationality
  • Language skill required: English and/or French in addition to Khmer
  • Willing to work based at Battambang province

Nurse

  • Experiences in performing vaccination
  • Newly graduated nurses are also encouraged for application
  • High spirit of ethics responsibility and of deontology
  • Proficiency in Khmer and English and/or French
  • High rigor is mandatory
  • Good team work
  • Good availability to insure necessary opening of the rabies prevention center 
  • Good in communication, meticulous, autonomous
  • Computer literacy : Word, Excel
