Operation Manager

Summary of Position

Our client is one of the largest French insurance brokers in Cambodia. They are looking for an Operation Manager who will be in charge of overseeing and ensuring the company’ smooth operations i.e. quotations, claims management, staff management, operational processes, IT, accounting, legal and compliance. She/he will be based in Phnom Penh

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Insurance Contracts Management: set up operations and follow up of Clients’ Insurance Contracts, including but not limiting to premium collection and renewal
  • Employee Benefits: manage EB business including new business support and servicing
  • Admin, Accounting, Legal & Compliance: renewal of the license, reports required by MOF and local authorities (Tax department, Labor Management Body...), proceed with receivables and payments in coordination with Vietnam Finance Director and local accounting Firm
  •  HR: ensure recruitment plan as well as salary review and employees’ career development are processed in compliance with local legislation and group compliance         
  • Operate within the behavioural framework of the team and company;
  • Ensure end-results on time and in compliance with the rules and guidelines of the company;
  • Relate well to people from diverse business functions, background and cultures;
  • Adopt a collaborative style to put the needs of the team above own.

Other Requirements

  • University Master degree, Microsoft Office literacy
  • At least 3-year experience in operations management. Experience in non-life insurance company, either in the role of client service, underwriting or business development is strongly recommended;
  • General understanding of insurance concepts and processing;
  • Advisory and analytical skills; Strong organizational skills; Management ability;
  • Clear focus, reliable, hardworking and able to work without supervision;
  • Be able to work under high pressure;
  • Excellent English in both written and spoken skills.
