Operation Manager

Summary of Position

A company specialized in retail pharmacy in Cambodia, is looking for an Operation Manager who will be in charge of the daily operations. His/her main objectives are to prepare, present and achieve yearly budgets approved by the Board of Directors and to contribute to the long-term development of the company.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Sales

  • Develop sales in existing / new stores by all the tools to create a commercial dynamic
  • Collaborate with the pharmacist manager to make our pharmacies a reference on the market
  • Work with the marketing department to provide customers new services (website, sales online, deliveries, membership card, promotion plan) and to communicate on our brand
  • Help with marketing department to increase other incomes (space rentals)
  • Collaborate with sales department to increase retail sales
  • Respond to clients’ needs, find new opportunities with wholesales, display products according to the sales
  • Be involved with the purchasing department to find new suppliers, new registered products, negotiate costs and other bonus from suppliers
  • Help the operation management to implement action plans proposed with marketing and sales department in the stores, and to control compliance with trade rules in the stores (pricing, cleanliness, customer service,…).

Human resources

  • Define company’s needs, organize recruitments, controlling salary expenses with the HR department
  • Cost management: in collaboration with the departments to minimize expenses, especially salaries / OT and electricity, controlling stores and department managers reports according to their budget (with operation manager)

Management

  • Evaluate and get reports from:
  • Marketing manager
  • Pharmacist manager
  • Sales manager
  • Purchasing manager
  • Operation manager

Finance

  • working with Finance manager on yearly budget preparation, getting report from Sales manager and Finance manager, controlling and analyzing figures, then report to CEO with comments. Proposing action plans if needed.

New projects

  • Working with Property and Facility manager to get ready for operational phase (products order and display, staff recruitment and training …)
  • After sales support, quality monitoring, safety
  • Public relation, Networking (University, MOH, healthcare professionals, …)

Experience Required

3-5 years in sales, preferably for pharmacy, healthcare or retail activity

Minimum Educational Level Required

Bachelor's Degree

Minimum Career Level Required

Experienced (Non-manager)

Languages Required

Good command of English; Khmer or French would be an asset

Other Requirements

  • Bachelor/Master degree in Business Administration, Business School
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Strong leadership, management skills with Khmer staff, ambitious, enjoying challenges
