Project Manager

Summary of Position

Our client is a group in hospitality sector in Cambodia. They are looking for a Project Manager who will provide management oversight for all phases of hotel/lifestyle complex construction, the Light, including coordinating employees, subcontractors, materials and equipment, ensuring that specification is being followed and work is proceeding with quality, on schedule and within the budget. He/ She will be based in Phnom Penh.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop a cost-effective plan and schedule for the completion of the project
  • Project Budget planning and controlling with Finance Team
  • Ensure project is on track with the approved schedule
  • Coordinate work of all contractors working on various phases of the projects
  • Oversee performance of all contractors
  • Review all architectural drawing, structure drawing and engineering drawing to make sure all plan and contractors are aligned
  • Minimize exposure and risk by implementing and audits safety standards
  • Ensure safety of project activities with all contractors
  • Manage the organization construction management team
  • Manage day to day work on site with each contractor to ensure quality, schedule and all work are carrying out base on the approved design
  • Administer Submittal review process between subcontractors/suppliers and design team
  • Source materials/equipment with Procurement team base on esign/quality/budget and present to management/owner for approval

Other Requirements

  • At least 7-10 years in construction and management field
  • Good Command in English, both spoken and written
  • Computer Fluency in Word, Excel, Email and PowerPoint
  • Project schedule software GanttChart
  • Good inter-personal skills with a can-do attitude
  • Must be able to communicate well with staff
  • Ability to be flexible due to the surround circumstances
  • Global mindset, pro-active, analytical, problem-solving, paired with a very clear hands-on mentality
  • Must be self-sufficient (own car/moto bike), flexible and able to drive around to site visit, suppliers visit when required
