Receptionist Afternoon Shift (*Urgent)

Located in the township of Siem Reap, gateway to the breathtaking Angkor Archeological Park (home to the magnificent temples of Angkor Wat and Angkor Thom), our residence radiates luxury within an intimate and refined setting. We are looking for Receptionist Afternoon Shift ( *Urgent).

The Receptionist Afternoon Shift in charge of implements all policy and procedures of Front Office by enhancing the quality of services. Also assists the guest efficiently, courteously and professionally in all Front Office related functions. He/She maintains a high standard of service and hospitality at all the times. He/She is responsible for meeting and talking with the guest at all times with a cheerful disposition and a positive service attitude in accordance with the hotels philosophy.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Welcome and register the guest according to the procedures
  • Assign room and accommodate special request whenever possible
  • Stay up-to-date on room rates, packages, discounts and how to handle each
  • Review the room rates, room location, and types of room
  • Develop knowledge about other departments, their staffing, services and hours of operation in the hotel
  • Promptly notify housekeeping of all late check out, early check in and special requests
  • Develop thorough knowledge of the software used in the Front Office
  • File and post all charges to guest accounts
  • Use proper telephone etiquette
  • Follow the message handling procedures
  • Report any unusual occurrences and requests to his superior
  • Get information about the daily activities and meetings taking place in the hotel
  • Follow all safety and emergency procedures and how to act upon them
  • Maintain the cleanliness and neatness of the front desk area
  • Handle every kind of requests and complaints of the guests
  • Keep properly the accounts of the guests for their expenses during their stay and charge them upon departure or any time they ask for it
  • Handle room changes according to availability
  • Give suggestions and comments to his direct superior
  • Handle all inquiries of guests and give all the information required
  • Prepare all the necessary forms required to carry out the daily operation
  • Know cash handling procedures
  • Complete guest check-in procedures
  • Maintain the safe deposit box
  • Change foreign currency based on the daily bank rate given by the
  • Balance the cash, traveler’s checks, currency, credit cards received and hand them to the accounting department
  • Verify the transfer of guest charges from other departments as example the restaurant
  • Prepare the check out and billing for the guests
  • Make reports to the accounting department
  • Verify if all the expenses have been charged on the bills of the guest as well as the amount
  • Complete guest checkout procedures
  • Settle guest account
  • Handle payments and prepare the records upon checkout and check in

Experience Required

At least 1 year experienced in hospitality

Minimum Educational Level Required

Associate Degree

Minimum Career Level Required

Experienced (Non-manager)

Languages Required

Khmer and English

Other Requirements

  • Education: Hotel and tourism
  • Budget Control/ Responsibility: Responsible for controlling of all confidential and financially related information of Front Office
  • Security/Confidentiality: Follow all regulations and safety procedures structured by the hotel
  • Training: On-going knowledge of Front Office technologies
  • Performance Standards:  Based on an annual evaluation by the General Manger and the Rooms Division Manager.  Basis for evaluation will consider the ability to perform the job functions and handle special projects as assigned.  The outcome of all annual external and governmental audits will factor into the evaluation, as well as the ability
  • Environment: Indoor, office environment.  Standard hotel business hours must be maintained.  Additional hours necessary to provide support for special functions that require the assistance the front office.  Professional working environment
  • Other: Must be computer proficient.  Have ability to communicate fluently in the English language, both verbally and in writing.  Be able to communicate effectively at all levels
