Regional Program and External Relations Coordinator

Summary of Position

Our client is a non-government organization. They are seeking for a Regional Program and External Relations Coordinator who will be in charge in developing the concept, proposal, and programs. Also, S/He will also be responsible for building and maintaining excellent communications and working relationships with current and potential stakeholders. He/she will be based in Phnom Penh.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support the conceptualization of new training programs and activities based on regional strengthening needs
  • Manage the implementation of short-term skill-based training and seminars
  • Develop concept notes and proposals as required
  • Support the M&E Officer to ensure proper data collection (intra and inter-departments)
  • Draft annual and midterm reports for Board of Directors and donors based on the data provided by the M&E Officer, and on inputs from departments
  • Support and/or supervise ad hoc projects including publications involving international and regional experts
  • Support the Executive Director in identifying new business opportunities and in linking with potential partner institutions and donors in the region and abroad
  • Build and maintain excellent communications and working relationships with current and potential stakeholders
  • Draft memos, presentations, speeches, communications materials and other documentation for senior management to use in external relations activities such as attending conferences
  • Support the Executive Director with the reporting, logistics and administration tasks necessary for smooth and effective Board procedures
  • Anticipate and prepare agenda and resources for meetings with stakeholders
  • Any other tasks as required

Other Requirements

  • Master degree from a recognized institute; qualifications in law, public administration, public policy, public finance, political science or related fields preferred
  • Experience in results-based management and in dealing with donor requirements
  • A minimum of five years of relevant professional experience in project/program development and management
  • A strong understanding of the role and functions of parliament
  • Solid analytical and writing skills
  • Ability to demonstrate flexibility and resourcefulness; and to work under pressure to deliver results under tight deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal skills and experience of functioning effectively in a team environment
  • Fluency in spoken and written English and French
