System Administrator

Summary of Position

A financial service company is looking for a System Administrator who will be a team-oriented, should interact well with all levels of the organization, and is able to manage multiple projects from inception to completion while meeting deadlines, providing 24/7 coverage (on-call rotation) and participate in after-hours and manage people efficiently. She/he will be based in Phnom Penh.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide 24/7 coverage (on-call rotation) and participate in after-hours
  • Provide technical support for both hardware and software issues our users encounter
  • Create and verify backups of data
  • Respond to and resolve help desk requests
  • Upgrade systems and processes as required for enhanced functionality and security issue resolution
  • Administrate infrastructure, including firewalls, databases, malware protection software and other processes
  • Develop and maintain installation and configuration procedures
  • Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups
  •  Install new systems, firmware, and drivers; creating boundaries for as well as performing configuration and testing activities; assisting in the preparation of technical presentations and demonstrations; and participating in customer meetings
  • Work with minimal direction from the technical lead and with customer nominated representatives to accomplish assigned tasks. Contributes to design for specific deliverables and
  • Use knowledge tools and reuses information for the benefit of projects, and of professional development
  • Investigate and recommend methods and techniques for obtaining solutions
  • Analyze system faults, troubleshoot, and run diagnostic tests on operating systems and hardware to detect problems.
  • Intranet Web services, and network management platforms on enterprise-wide system
  • Coordinate the remote testing of products in other areas
  • Participates as part of a team and maintains good relationships with team members and clients

Experience Required
