Travel Project Manager

Summary of Position

A travel agency providing worldwide travel and tour services is looking for Tavel Project Manager.

The Travel Project Manager will be in charge of leading the travel team, coaching and maintaining the department.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead the travel team that manages all trip inquires: inclusive of tailor making & operating requests
  • Oversee the correspondences of agents to maintain professional, clear, proactive response to agents’ questions
  • Design new creative adventure trips targeting adventure agents and markets with a focus on trips designs that can be operated flawlessly
  • Increase overall sales by converting a higher percentage of sales leads
  • Work with other Company Adventure departments to create regional, multi-country tours
  • Exceed agents’ expectations through outstanding trip quality and customer service
  • Review ops systems to ensure they are tailored to the unique challenge of your country so that each departure meets the Company Adventure operational standards
  • Recruit and train Company Adventure guides to Company standards including 1st aid standards, bike mechanics, group management technics, public speaking tips, and how to anticipate clients’ needs to lead pro-actively
  • Facilitate seamless communication from guide feedback to guide briefings to ensure we are operating as one unified team – from field to office to agent
  • Manage and monitor the maintenance of all equipment and spares (bikes, helmets, kayaks, first aid kits etc.) to ensure the gear reaches Company Adventure standards

English and French and other languages is a plus

Other Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Tourism or related field
  • Experience in similar role in the tourism industry
  • Good knowledge of destination is a plus
  • Detail oriented and high degree of customer service
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to work under pressure and to prioritize tasks
  • Leadership, excellent interpersonal skills and ability to motivate and train staff
  • Ability to work at international standards level of personal conduct and presentation
