BIM (Project) Manager

Unisun Development Corp is a SME which is embarking upon an exciting journey of becoming a prominent land development and construction company. Currently, we are looking for BIM manager.
The BIM manager will be required to set up the organization structure for his/her new department. This would include the structure for producing and verifying models and readjusting models for construction documentation. This will include all 3D model based communication and file sharing; assisting with the construction team in model analysis, quantity extraction and visualization aids; managing 3D coordination meetings; and establishing a high level BIM standard data-rich for the company future use. This position reports directly to the COO.

General Responsibilities
- Lead/coordinate appointed designers to follow company guidelines in order to achieve effective design output
- Verify/update/revise models and lead/coordinate other internal or external teams in order to have federated model rich in data
- Plan and control the scope, quality, resources, milestones and deliverables of the project from the setup phase, to the project closure
- Develop and implement BIM Standards, procedures and best practices to meet the project’s deadlines and deliverables
- Implement BIM technologies on construction projects to include 4D (scheduling & Manpower) and 5D (cost analysis)
- Participate actively with the management to design and develop new software tools to optimize workflows and increase projects’ profitability
Specific Responsibilities
Project Management
- Plan and coordinate project setup, resource allocation, project milestones and budgets with the Department director prior to the start of a new project
- Create & manage the project’s BIM execution plan and ensure the project team is following the project’s standards and procedures
- Monitor the BIM modeling process to meet time, resources and profitability objectives and perform corrective actions to meet those objectives
- Lead and organize weekly meetings with project stakeholders to resolve design issues
- Lead clash detection and RFI resolution during preconstruction
- Escalate to the Department director any situation that could prevent achieving the project objectives (change in scope of work, miscommunication, coordination issues, resource deficiencies, technical challenges, etc.…)
- Prepare and submit a Weekly Time Sheet for the assigned project
- Produce construction documents for all the disciplines
- Define Quality Assurance procedures and oversee Quality Control activities that will ensure the quality of the BIM models
- Define and enforce Project Archiving and Document Control procedures
- Develop custom model standards and “families” that relate to specific projects
- Create standards for 3D preconstruction site logistics plans
- Store, back-up and organize all model data into an easily readable and accessible file structure
People Management
- Provide leadership and direction to assigned project resources (Project Manager, Senior Construction Manager, Cost Manager)
- Participate in the recruitment, on boarding, training and performance evaluation activities
- Allocate and manage resources within assigned project (schedule, roles, and responsibilities)
- Recommend development plan for assigned resources (trainings, job rotation, etc.)
Business Development
- Perform scope of work analyses, technical assessment, resource estimation, design strategies and identify technology required for new projects
- Create presentation models/sequencing videos for marketing department and owner review

- Degree (architectural or engineering) or equivalent combination of technical training and/or related experience
- Minimum 5-8 years (including supervisory skills) project experience– Project Architect/Engineer, Project Manager or equivalent
- Computer skills must include one of the followings: Autodesk Revit, Autodesk Navisworks, Tekla, Civil 3D
- MS Office, and MS Project
- Experience in construction scheduling/estimating and related functions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (tact, diplomacy, influence, etc.)
- The ability to manage, plan, prioritize and implement detailed instructions for employees as well as the ability to motivate his/her staff
