Institut Pasteur du Cambodge (IPC) will recruit a full time Laboratory Technician to work in the Mycobacteriology Laboratory in the Medical Laboratory Unit for 4-month contract renewable.

• Carry out mycobacteria analysis from pre-analytical phase until technical validation
  • Prepare patient samples for testing
  • Perform mycobacteria testing including smear microscopy, GeneXpert, solid and liquid culture, identification and drug sensitivity testing
  • Manually enter the results into the computer system
• Work in Biosafety Level 2 and 3 Laboratory
• Respect hygiene and security measure and waste management regulation in the laboratory
• Apply Standard Operating Procedures developed and used in the laboratory
• Participate in the development, implementation and improvement of the laboratory quality system
• Maintain workplace and equipment
• Manage the stock
• Ensure the implementation of internal and external quality controls
• Perform other related tasks as needed

RECRUITMENT CONDITIONS

• Language required: Khmer, and English or French
• Diploma: Laboratory technician (fresh graduated accepted)
• Available to start from July 3rd, 2017
