		Communication Manager
Summary of Position
Our client is an international school in Cambodia. They are looking for a Communication Manager who will be in charge of writing, designing and distributing content to promote the school group's brand, activities, and events. He/she will be based in Phnom Penh.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Communication
- Works with all school staff to provide a proactive school climate which supports the expertise of the international program faculty and the Khmer curriculum faculty and is in the best interest of student learning.
- Draft high-quality communications and provide overall editorial control for school to home and school to staff communications, ensuring appropriate content, tone, brevity and consistency.
- Attends meetings of the school leadership and any committees if required.
- Provides support in creating texts for promotional material, e.g. flyers, posters, school information folders, etc.
- Takes the lead in editing and publishing the school’s magazine.
- Advises the student communications and broadcasting committee.
- Initiates awareness activities with regards to school philosophy and values.
- Supports the leadership team in networking with private companies, NGOs, and educational institutions, and in particular in establishing formalized partnerships with selected universities worldwide.
- Initiates and conducts periodical surveys as agreed with the school leadership.
- Assists with all social media and web page related communication.
Parents Involvement
- Guides the process of setting up parent’s representation bodies and uses social media effectively to foster parents’ involvement.
- Regularly monitors and audits the school’s parent communications across all channels (academic and non-academic) to identify areas that require improvement and develops actions to address.
- Develops and implements regular parent communications and surveys (targeted and general) which educate and inform the parent body and showcase the achievements of the school in the best possible light, using a multi-channel approach.
- Acts as a key custodian of the School’s parent portal (SchoolBase), ensuring that content is updated and refreshed in a timely fashion. In addition, collaborate with the Marketing team to align the same content for the external website so that it is also refreshed and accurate.
- Ensures that communication to parents also reaches no-English speaking parents
- Develops and implements an annual program of parent events which reflect the multiple communication needs of the school and its parents; including events that educate and inform, events that promote the school’s strengths and achievements, events that celebrate milestones and other relevant days
Alumni Relations
- Working closely with the Senior Communications Executive build and maintain a database of former Alumni, keeping them engaged with the community in the spirit of friend-raising
- Create and oversee the execution of an annual program of events which enhances communication and builds positive relationships with alumni and past parents / families
Accreditation Process Support
- Assists in all accreditation issues.
Policy Development
- Assists the school leadership team in school wide policy development and all communication matters.

Other Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Communications, or related field.
- Having excellent communication and other interpersonal skills while also possessing educational administration experience.
- Have an excellent command of English.
- Has strong service orientation, an enthusiastic and positive work attitude as well as high level of cultural sensitivity and empathy.
