Head, Financial Management

Summary of Position

Our client is a leading insurance company in Cambodia. They are looking for a Head, Financial Management will be responsible for leading a team of analysts and accountants to serve the financial needs of the business and to prepare timely, accurate and relevant reports on financial and strategic performance with insight and recommendations to deliver financial performance. He/she will be based in Phnom Penh.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Finance/Accounting Operations
  • Smooth execution of operational processes, such as processing of payments, tracking of inflows, assets and liabilities, tax management with appropriate controls and in compliance to accounting standards.
  • Write and update financial policies and procedures and ensure documentation is maintained to demonstrate application of controls
  • Digitized, transform and improve turn-around time and for services provided

Reporting

  • Provide accurate, relevant and timely reports to all stakeholders to support decision-making and optimize financial and strategic performance.
  • Ensure regulatory reports are compiled with accuracy and submitted withing timelines

Financial Planning and Expense Management

  • Coordinate with all departments to compile the strategy and feed these into budgets and financial projections
  • Coordinate with all departments to review business cases for material spends as required by local policy
  • Monitor expenses and underlying spend behaviors and collaborate with all departments to ensure these are in line with local policies.

People management

  • Develop competence, capabilities, and professionalism of the team to deliver financial services to all stakeholders.

Reporting to

  • To Chief Financial Officer

Other Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Economics, Risk Management and Finance &banking is preferred.
  • At least 5 years of experience in financial or statistical analysis, financial forecasting, financial risk management or equivalents is desired;
  • Has strong ability to apply logical and critical thinking to resolve problems; to build trust and rapport with all levels of the organization
  • Propensity to plan strategically yet be able to adapt quickly to business context;
  • Ability to multitask, influence and persuade, and meet constant deadlines
  • Strong numerical, written, and verbal communication skills;
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Excellent spoken and written English
