Assistant Executive Director

Summary of Position

Phnom Penh Montessori International School (PPMIS) is the first Montessori schools in Cambodia that offers the only genuine Montessori experience for Pre-School and Kindergarten and International Primary Program.

We are looking for an Assistant Executive Director who will be responsible to provide daily leadership and direction to all departments, including reporting, organizing, and management of the school's personnel, activities, and facilities.The Assistant Executive Director is responsible for adhering to the schools mission and programs in accordance with the school's by-laws and within the available budget. 

The Assistant Executive Director works closely with the Board of Directors, Director, and Classroom Teachers. 

3-5 years' experience in management or school experience.

English, Khmer.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  •  Assistant Executive Directoris responsible for setting the tone for the facility
  • Managing the curriculum, overseeing physical facilities, and managing the overall image of the center

Other Requirements

  • A Bachelor's Degree (Master's Preferred) in Education, Early Childhood Education, Child Development or related field
  • 3 years of early childhood teaching experience in a licensed preschool, child care center or kindergarten
  • 3 years administrative or management experience in a licensed preschool, child care center or kindergarten 
  • Exceptional leadership and supervisor skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks at once
  • Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office programs such as word and excel
  • Experience with a childcare facility software (preferred)
  • Be professional, approachable, carry a warm and friendly demeanor and love working with children and families
