40K PLUS creates access to quality learning for children in restricted environments.

We have developed a proprietary technology system that allows us to push content into villages through tablets, and pull data back, all offline.  40K PLUS can run different uses and different subjects.

Currently, the flagship program uses the system to teach English to 3,000 government school children in India and Cambodia.

Our vision is to seek out other innovative uses for our system, and to bring the benefits of digital learning to millions of people around the world.

40K PLUS expanded to Cambodia in 2018. You will be the first local senior hire responsible for building and leading 40K PLUS to success in Cambodia.

Your role is to ensure every PLUS child is learning, PLUS teachers are excelling and that 40K PLUS Cambodia turns a profit, and expands its social impact.

Business Development and Relationship Management

• Secure government and enterprise level partnerships, to expand the reach of 40K PLUS in Cambodia
• Build and foster deep relationships and networks at a National and Provincial Government level
• Account management of existing customers and partners, to drive repeat sales and referrals
• Ensure key accounts achieve a high social profit; delivering both financial profit and positive social impact
• Build 40K PLUS brand presence and networks in Cambodia, representing PLUS at key events

Program and Operations Management

• Hire, mentor and coach key program staff
• Oversee the 40K PLUS Program delivery, ensuring
  • every PLUS child is learning well
  • every PLUS teacher is delivering an exceptional classroom experience
  • all school stakeholders receive effective coaching, that leads to tangible performance improvement
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the PLUS program, ensuring it is delivering value to its customers and users
• Recommend and implement key program improvements to enhance customer, user and stakeholder value
• Conduct extensive market, customer and user research, to provide recommendations on product adaptations for the Cambodian market
• Build a culture of data-driven decision making, using data dashboards to generate insight and drive learning and operational improvement
• Ensure cost-effective program delivery, building processes and systems, and seeking ways to streamline, and improve operational performance

Accounts, Legal and Compliance

• Manage the Cambodia P&L, ensuring 40K PLUS Cambodia turns a profit
• Ensure 40K PLUS meets all compliance and regulatory standards, as per the laws of Cambodia
• Secure all relevant government permissions and MOUs, to enable 40K PLUS to continue to operate
• Identify potential policy changes, and their impact on 40K PLUS
• Pro-actively leverage policy opportunities and mitigate risks

Communication and Reporting

• Coordinate with other country offices, to share learning and insights
• Provide regular reports and presentations on program progress to a range of key organizational stakeholders
• Be the in-country contact person for investor and donor site visits

The Chief Product Officer

• Entrepreneurial mindset with a hunger to make an international product work in Cambodia
• Masters degree in any subject
• 5 to 10 years experience in a senior management or start up role in the education or technology sector. Experience in social enterprise or for-profit management preferred
• Strong commercial acumen, with an ability to balance profit with social purpose
• Excellent relationship and key account management skills
• Background in program management, or program development preferred
• Thrives working in a start-up environment, and the challenge of delivering solutions in provincial Cambodia
• Excellent spoken and written English communication skills
