Deputy Factory Manager

Summary of Position

Our client is a steel manufacturing company in Cambodia. They are looking for a Deputy factory Manager who is in charge of supervising factory operations by leading a technical resource team to ensure the factory runs smoothly by following the rule and policies to meet the company objectives. S/He will be based in Phnom Penh.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily activities of factory operations
  • Work with management to implement the company’s policies and goals
  • Be a contact point for the customer, vendors and other key stakeholders
  • Prepare the factory budget, project schedules and other business proposal/quotations
  • Monitor product standards and implement quality-control programs
  • Monitor the production processes and adjust schedule as needed
  • Maintain and improve product quality and standards and factory hygiene 
  • Oversee the human resource activates and effective people management in factory
  • Maintain, compile, store and retrieve any data and information related to the production
  • Ensure that resources and materials are in place to fulfil daily production plans
  • Ensure compliance to all company safety and precautionary regulations

Other Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Industrial Management, or related field
  • Experience working in construction/steel factory will be a plus.
  • Proven experience in a managerial or supervisory role within a factory
  • Sound knowledge of industry-specific factory equipment
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications
  • Outstanding time management skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong management and leadership skills with ability to multitask
