Deputy Purchasing Manager
Summary of Position
LCH DEVELOPMENT CO., LTD is looking for a Deputy Purchasing Manager who will be in charge purchasing all goods, equipment, services, etc for the hotel in line with the quality and standard expected of group companies and ensure that all purchasing activities are in conformity with the purchasing policies and procedures laid down by the management.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Buy all services and goods only on duly approved purchase requisitions. In the event of emergency purchase to buy only after verbal approval has been given by the COO/Operation Manager and FM.
- Ensure that all purchases of goods and services are competitively priced.
- Ensure that the suppliers we deal with have a good standing and reputation in the community and with policy credit requirement
- Ensure the purchase orders are only issued upon duly approved purchase requisition.
- Ensure that purchase orders are issued in sequence and that sequence copies are kept in your office for audit purpose.
- Ensure that goods delivered are according to specification ordered by doing random check on receipt for all perishables as well as store items.
- Prepare costing report request by FM and managers [If required]
OPERATIONAL
- Ensure that all goods delivered on time as required and should there be any changes in delivery time, the relevant Division/ Department Heads are to be informed of such changes thereof.
- Source new supplies for existing products and services or potential new products that may be required by the companies on a continuous basis.
- Ensure that we have a pool of at least two supplies for the same goods and services that the companies can depend on in case of unforeseen circumstances.
- Ensure that the products and services required conform to the standard and quality required by us in the operation of companies.
- Keep abreast of changing market conditions relating to price increases, new products, customs duties and taxes for competitive purchasing.
- Co-ordinate all purchasing activities required by various Department Heads of the companies to their satisfaction in compliance with the company purchasing policies and procedures.
GENERAL
- To carry out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- To respond to changes in departmental functions as dictated by the statutory regulations, industry, and company.
- To provide and to ensure that all employees also provide courteous and professional service and to maintain good working relationship with all colleagues throughout the hotel.
- To act as Executive on Duty for the company as scheduled.( If required)
- To be aware of and also ensure that all employees have a complete understanding of the company’s policies and procedures and to adhered to them.
