Executive Chief Financial Officer

Summary of Position

Our client is one of the well- known property development company in Cambodia. Currently, they are seeking an Executive Chief Financial Officer who will supervise all financial tasks of company and ensure the use capital and resources beneficially including creating forecasting models, assessing risk in investments and ensuring all accounting activities comply with regulations. He/she will be based in Phnom Penh.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Drive the financial forecasting and planning of the company by analyzing its performance and risks
  • Provide financial reports and interpret financial information to managerial staff while recommending further courses of action
  • Advise on investment activities and provide strategies that the company should take
  • Develop the corporate fundraising strategy and manage relationships with partners and investors
  • Act as advisor on any given contracts which the company may enter into including the contract negotiation
  • Prepare timely and detailed reports on financial performance on a quarterly and annual basis
  • Analyze costs, pricing, variable contributions, sales results and the company’s actual performance compared to the business plans.
  • Develop trends and projections for the company’s finances
  • Maintain the financial health of the organization
  • Identify, acquire and implement systems and software to provide critical financial and operational information. Evaluate departments and make suggestions for automating processes and increasing working efficiency
  • Set targets for and supervise all accounting and finance personnel (management accountants, internal auditors etc.)
  • Oversee all audit and internal control operations
  • Ensure adherence to financial laws and guidelines
  • Perform other assignments as requested by CEO or Chairman

Reporting to

  • Chairman and CEO

Other Requirements

  • At least Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting or in a relevant discipline
  • CPA or other relevant qualification is a plus
  • Experienced in developing, planning, and managing budget as well as the project negotiation
  • In-depth knowledge of corporate finance and accounting principles, laws and best practices
  • Solid knowledge of financial analysis and forecasting
  • Competency in Management. Skills in decision making, analytical, negotiations and ability to initiate autonomous and independent judgment
  • Significant experience working with external auditors, internal controls and compliance-related issues
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office and financial management software (e.g. SAP)
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills with strong command of English, both written and spoken
