Hotel General Manager

Summary of Position

The General Manager is in charge of managing the overall daily operations and administration of the hotel and ensuring all departments run at maximum proficiency.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Meet and greet all the guests, ensuring that guests are happy first hand
  • Resolve guest complaints and review feedback
  • Supervise, lead and train the heads of departments and rest of the team to ensure the highest level of customer service is given to the guests
  • Responsible for all aspects of operating the hotel
  • Responsible for driving hotel sales and marketing
  • Oversee the accounting and purchasing for the hotel, ensure costs are controlled and kept within budget. Implement ways to drive and increase revenue through the hotel operations
  • Monitor the performance of the hotel through financial reports and guest and staff satisfaction
  • Manage overall operations of the hotel in all departments
  • Hire and train heads of departments and other key staffs, oversee all recruitment decisions
  • Maximize overall results through the successful daily operation of all departments
  • Maximize the financial performance of the hotel by creating a work environment that allows team to deliver exceptional guest service

Languages Required

Professional proficiency in English is imperative and Khmer, French or any other language is a plus.

  • Previous relevant experience in a similar operation
  • Must be a dedicated professional who is hard working with a proven track record.
  • Customer driven with an extremely proactive and 'switched on' personality and an outgoing, charismatic and approachable character
  • Must be passionate and with a positive, flexible 'can do attitude' who is a very hands-on leader.
  • Extremely well organised
  • Ability to lead his/her team by example
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Extremely available with a high commitment level to the best interests of the company and its people.
  • Ability to lead a team of over 40
