IT Officer (Network and Cyber security)

Summary of Position

Our client is an International school in Cambodia. They are looking for a IT Officer (Network and Cyber Security) who will support teachers, staff on all IT subject’s matters and lead infrastructure cybersecurity support for business and EdTech solutions. He/she will be based in Phnom Penh.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintaining all computers and electronic devices.
  • Creating school email for each staff member.
  • Maintaining and provisioning Active Directory, Google Domain, and SIS, user accounts, computer accounts
  • Accurate records (Audit, Technical Documents)
  • Managing Projects such as the rollout of new hardware, software, and construction of new facilities
  • Managing Procurement process for ICT infrastructure equipment and software
  • Develop budgets in conjunction with ICT infrastructure equipment and software
  • Lead team to develop new systems/solutions
  • Manages the security of the IT infrastructure and intellectual property.
  • Monitor employee productivity and provide constructive feedback and coaching
  • Monitors the IT help desk issues in a timely manner.
  • Organize workflow and ensure that employees understand their duties or delegated tasks
  • Technical documentation of procedures that can be used by other employees to do the job.
  • Provide technical training to all IT technical staff.
  • Coming up with IT solutions to fix a company’s problems.
  • Monitor and maintain computer systems and networks.
  • Prioritize and manage many open cases at one time.
  • Suggest test and evaluate new technology that is relevant to the school.
  • Manage other technical tasks, projects assigned by the IT Manager.
  • Activate DRP and BCP in the event of disaster for IT Infrastructure.
  • Develop and maintain the organisation’s enterprise security architecture and IT security policies and procedures.
  • Develop and enforce the organisation’s infrastructure cybersecurity standards.
  • Maintain user authorization in all systems.
  • Cybersecurity monitoring with realtime and historical data..
  • Overseeing cybersecurity for network infrastructure and systems functionality
  • Oversee data backup and system security operations
  • Manage installations, upgrades and configurations of hardware and software from a security standpoint.
  • Resolve security issues escalated by technicians and engineers
  • Performing both internal and external security audits
  • Analyzing security breaches to identify the root cause
  • Verifying the security of third-party vendors and collaborating with them to meet security requirements
  • Monitoring network traffic to detect potential threats and then responding to these threats promptly.
  • Manage implementation of cybersecurity infrastructure projects.
  • Lead design of cybersecurity infrastructure architecture.
  • Lead new cybersecurity infrastructure technology evaluation.
  • Rollout cybersecurity infrastructure for business application.
  • Responsible for identifying and exploring cybersecurity technology that can create efficiency for operations and drive cost optimization.
  • Responsible for identifying cybersecurity trend and approach to secure the organisation against cyber threats.
  • Create the best possible conditions for converting enquiries into enrolments, through the consistent implementation of effective admissions practice and outstanding customer care.
  • Provide the Marketing, Admissions and Communications Team with supportive and focused leadership to enable them to reach their individual, team and school goals; ensure the work of the team is carried out professionally, effectively and to high standards.
  • Collate school and market data to inform marketing strategies and tactics; have a thorough understanding of the competitive market.

Other Requirements

  •  Educational background in Information Technology, Computer Science or any related field. She/he must have experience in information technology and duties for at least 4 years.
  • Native speaker levels of English.
  • Good speaking, listening and reading proficiency of English. All aspects of the job will require this.
  •  An ability to solve problems using initiative
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Recent criminal police record check certificate.
