IT Technical Support Officer
Summary of Position
A young, dynamic and social IT services and solutions provider is looking for an IT Technical Support Officer.
An IT Technical Support Officer will responsible for the smooth running of computer systems and ensuring users get maximum benefits from them. Individual tasks vary depending on the size and structure of the customer organisation. He/she will be work based in SIEM Reap.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Install and configuring computer hardware, operating systems and applications
- Monitor and maintaining IT systems and networks
- Talk staff or customers through a series of actions, either face to face or over the telephone, to help set up systems or resolve issues
- Troubleshoot system and network problems and diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults
- Replace parts as required
- Provide support, including procedural documentation and relevant reports
- Follow policies and written instructions
- Support the rollout of new solutions
- Work continuously on a task until completion (or referral to third parties, if appropriate)
- Prioritise and managing many open cases at one time
- Rapid establishing a good working relationship with customers and other professionals
- Test and evaluate new technology
Minimum Educational Level Required
Bachelor's Degree
Other Requirements
- Windows/OSX/Linux support (At least strong Windows troubleshooting skills)
- Router installation, configuration and administration (Mikrotik is a plus)
- Must already know basic networking tools (ping, traceroute, etc)
- The ability to think logically
- A good memory of how software and operating systems work
- Excellent listening and questioning skills, combined with the ability to interact confidently with clients to establish what the need is and explain the solution
