Khmer Teacher to the Foreigner

Summary of Position

A Non-profit Institution working closely with the Cambodian government and parliamentary is looking for a Khmer Teacher to the Foreigner.

The Khmer Teacher to the Foreigner will have to teach up to six Khmer learners with mixed levels of language proficiency. The Khmer learners will be most likely divided into three groups based on their level of Khmer (2 individuals per group).

At least five years of experience in teaching Khmer to foreigners and bi-nationals.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assess the level of proficiency of Khmer learners and determine needs of the learners       
  • Develop class structure and curriculum and learning objectives according to their level and needs
  • Deliver the Khmer lessons (with emphasis on teaching work-related vocabulary)
  • Closely follow up on progress

Reporting to

To the Program Development and Monitoring & Evaluation Supervisor

Experience Required

At least five years of experience in teaching Khmer to foreigners and bi-nationals

Minimum Educational Level Required

Bachelor's Degree

Minimum Career Level Required

Experienced (Non-manager)

Languages Required

Good command in English.
