Lecturer in charge of Pediatrics

Summary of Position

The University of Puthisastra is a private university in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop standard course outlines, course books and reference books of teaching courses according to national guidelines or policies as well as UP.
  • Prepare and deliver lectures to medical students in classroom [and conduct laboratory sessions (Practical Work) if any] between 12 to 24 hours based on standard course outlines.
  • Search for updated course contents relevant to the responsible lectures
  • Develop qualified questions for student assessment
  • Prepare, administer and grade student examinations and reports
  • Review, collect, process, and analyze lecturer’s teaching performance based on evaluation result.
  • Work closely with medicine department team members in order to strengthen good communication and smooth coordination.
  • Participate in research activities designed and conducted by medicine department.
  • Participate in curriculum development, and course outlines review for medicine department.
  • Perform other tasks appropriate directed by department head/deputy-department head.

  • Head/Deputy Head of Medicine

Experience Required

Minimum three years of medical teaching experience

Minimum Educational Level Required

Doctorate

Languages Required

Strong English language proficiency: reading, written, and spoken
Be able to understand medical textbook in English.

Other Requirements

  • Medical Doctor Degree with thesis or received specialized courses/DES/Master preferred both in country and abroad.
  • Has attended pedagogy course
  • Strong computer skills: internet searching, power point, excel
  • Strong skills in creating an interactive, creative and evidenced based teaching environment for students
