Manager, Sales & Marketing

Summary of Position

Our client is a leading Market Expansion Service provider for companies who want to grow their business in Cambodia. They are seeking a Manager, Sales & Marketing who will be in charge of managing and monitoring sales targets for assigned businesses/territories and overall business objectives. He/she will develop and execute clients' business plans and trade marketing strategies for product groups to achieve overall sales targets. He/she will be based in Phnom Penh.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement short- and long-term sales strategies and plans (e.g. plan sales routes, new customer generation, etc.) to achieve sales targets for assigned businesses/territories
  • Assign geographical sales territories and establish budgets. Monitor the team's key performance indicator achievements
  • Conduct regular reviews to provide feedback on performance gaps and requirements for improvement
  • Manage and monitor progress of sales activities, including market hygiene versus client budget and store call cycles
  • Implement customized solutions based on changing markets and trends
  • Identify product gaps and improvement opportunities based on lost sales data, customer feedback, etc
  • Manage reporting of sales and projected sales/margin forecasts
  • Propose areas for customer base expansion based on market knowledge
  • Manage continuous improvement on sales processes, sales plans, customer satisfaction, etc
  • Analyze collection trends and suggest solutions for prompt payments
  • Manage customer issue resolutions and recommend preventive actions to minimize future incidents
  • Develop and build relationships with customers to achieve business objectives
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to better understand client requirements and to leverage cross-product/industry business opportunities
  • Oversee and manage operating departmental budgets and costs according to annual allocation to ensure efficient usage of resources, where applicable prepare product forecasts and constantly monitor inventory levels to ensure optimal supply
  • Manage new product launches, including product launch plans, roll-out timings, sample preparations (where applicable), display standards, etc
  • Manage market research to assess customer attitudes to the current product range and new product introductions
  • Conduct product training to equip sales team with the necessary technical expertise to sell the products
  • Act as the first point of reference for all product related inquiries and work collaboratively with colleagues to address any issues that may arise

Other Requirements

  • Degree or professional qualification in Medical or Pharmacist/Business Studies/Marketing/Economics or a related discipline
  • Minimum three to five years’ experience in a similar role and in a managerial capacity
  • Demonstrate sound knowledge and a proven sales track record in assigned territories/products/services and an existing network of contacts
  • Demonstrate strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Strong analytical background and knowledge of statistical analysis methods
  • Demonstrate proficiency in office productivity tools (e.g. Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
  • Demonstrate fluency in English (both written and spoken)
  • Demonstrate strong understanding of clients' industry/business/products/market/competitors/customers
  • Demonstrate strong client management and communication skills
  • Proven project management skills
  • Demonstrate appreciation and respect for cultural sensitivities especially in cross-country/-cultural interactions
