Manager, Trade Marketing

Summary of Position

Our client the leading market expansion service provider across Asia. They are looking for a Manager, Trade Marketing who will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of the annual trade marketing strategy plan, including formulate trade spend budgets and drive monitoring of target achievement with ROI Measurement. He/she will be based in Phnom Penh.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead development of the annual trade marketing, including providing guidance in translating strategy and market information into business intelligence anticipates potential challenges to annual marketing strategies and provide solutions to mitigate challenges to achieve the business objective and annual sales target.
  • Leverage segmentation of Trade Channel (BBS, GS, MT & PH) to define the business opportunity in brand categories and working closely with Brand Marketing on digital platform to drive and support customer engagement while at the same time educating and influencing the trade sales team, wholesalers, baby shop chain owner, and retailers to adopt new ways of engaging and interacting.
  • Drive monitoring of target achievements/return on investment and the effectiveness of marketing programs executed.
  • Strategize the development of trade marketing capabilities and standardized processes for smooth execution of trade marketing activities.
  • Manage departmental operating budgets and costs according to annual allocation to ensure efficient usage of resources, where applicable.
  • Identify trends and insights and optimizes trade spend and performance based on the insights
  • Coordinate internal efforts and efficiencies through trade marketing upselling activities based on consolidated trade marketing plans of various clients.
  • Lead the development and execution of below the line marketing campaigns and go-to-market activities, including in-store promotional initiatives. Prepare reports and analysis for decision making and next action plan to improvement.
  • Build a strong relationship and maintain it with key customers (wholesalers, Baby shop chain, retailers) to understand needs and create trade marketing campaigns including loyalty programs, commercial partners’ training courses, generate branding & POP materials that deliver on customized value propositions and ensure effective execution of trade marketing plans.
  • Working collaboratively with cross-functional partners to optimize execution of omni-channel campaigns.
  • Set direction and cascade team/function goals to ensure goals are well-defined and clearly communicated.
  • Drive and manage learning and development of team in the area of Trade Marketing and Company behavior to achieve team/function goals.

  • To Assistant General Manager Sales

Other Requirements

  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in Marketing/Economics/Business Administration or a related discipline.
  • At least five years’ experience in a similar role with two years’ experience in a managerial capacity.
  • Demonstrate advanced knowledge and understanding of the business and industry, including product categories and channels.
  • Proven capabilities in marketing planning, market research, analytical and demand forecasting, as well as a deep understanding of customer needs and client marketing needs.
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken with proficiencies in office productivity tools (e.g., Excel, Word and PowerPoint).
