MEP Engineer

Summary of Position

LBL International is a French‐Cambodian construction company established in Southeast Asia since 1991. The main contractor, LBL is situated at the high‐end of the construction market and specialized in the implementation of prestigious projects such as luxury hotels, exclusive villas, residential buildings, institutions, commercial buildings and educational and humanitarian buildings. Currently, we are seeking for MEP Engineer.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensure that the highest quality of mechanical, electrical and plumbing construction work are in accordance with project specific cost and schedule requirements
  • Coordination and administration of MEP related materials, systems and shop drawings submittals
  • Liaise with Consultant MEP supervisory Engineers, Inspectors and relevant staff
  • Achieve a detailed understanding of the Contract documents (drawings and specifications), phasing plans, MEP systems interrelationships, construction sequencing and project schedule
  • Facilitate problem solving, as may arise, between MEP Subcontractors during construction
  • Validate design issues related to MEP and suggest alternative solutions
  • Assist in the receipt and review of MEP submittals
  • Log and post all MEP changes and as‐built information on field drawings
  • Assist in the scope review, budgeting and justification of MEP change work order
  • Assist in the installation of MEP work
  • Direct, monitor and control the activities of MEP Subcontractor
  • Ensure that MEP Subcontractors provides and adheres to relevant Quality documentation/records and Project Safety regulations
  • Assist in the testing and commissioning of MEP equipment

Experience Required

2+ years of experience in MEP Coordination

Minimum Educational Level Required

Bachelor's Degree

Minimum Career Level Required

Experienced (Non-manager)

Languages Required

Khmer & English in both speaking and writing

Other Requirements

  • Good understanding of all mechanical, electrical, plumbing and low‐voltage systems
  • General understanding of Building Codes, Mechanical Codes, Electrical Codes and Plumbing Codes as they relate to the construction of the project
  • Experienced dealing with MEP subcontracts and subcontractors
  • Good command of Khmer and English, both spoken and written
  • Computer fluency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Computer‐Aided Design
  • Good interpersonal skills, must be able to communicate well with staff
  • Ability to interpret plans, liaise with clients, architects and project managers
  • Must have a good knowledge of plans, prints, specifications and schematics associated with trade
  • Demonstrate innovative approaches to problem-solving and develop ideas from conceptualization to completion
  • Strong team player, working effectively with all staff members at all levels
  • A positive work ethic with excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work autonomously to meet deadlines
