PHOTOGRAPHER / VIDEOGRAPHER

Summary of Position

Toutes à l'école is lookig for Photographer/Videographer. The Photographer/Videographer will work independently or as part of a team to create pictures and sound which accurately and fairly represent the school. He/she will shoot and/or edit video for internal and external communication of the school and for the needs of the headquarter in Paris.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Photography & Filming

  • Take photographs and film video segments of important locations, people, events or moments
  • Process photos by editing digital images (including re-touching, color correcting, cropping, etc.) to produce clear visuals
  • Submit images, text, and other information to the communications manager
  • Transfer digital files to computer
  • Encode and keep record of photos/videos in a database/library
  • Add relevant keywords to image files for picture libraries so that the images can be recognized in search engines
    • Ensure all pictures are appropriate, processed and ready in time to meet deadlines
    • Organize and conduct interviews when needed
    • Write narration to accompany images

Equipment use

  • Transport, set up, and operate various production equipment such as cameras, audio/ video recorders, lighting equipment props, and microphones
  • Responsible for lending small cameras to different departments and students for their needs
  • Maintain photographic and electronic communications equipment, including ordering needed accessories
  • Manage and evolve system for tracking equipment and props

Responsible for external videographer’s visits

  • Assist the team sent by the headquarter to shoot
  • With the communication Assistant, organize the videographer requirements and the shootings before arrival
  • Accompany the videographer on site during his/her stay and assist him/her

Other

  • Manage time effectively in order to achieve assigned tasks
  • Collaborate with different departments/services on a variety of projects pertaining to photography, videography, and other communication needs
  • Travel to local regions to cover the photo requirements

Other Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in photography/videography production, photojournalism or related field
  • Experience shooting and editing video is a must
  • Demonstrated professional experience or a portfolio of work that demonstrates proficiency with all stages of short video production, including conception, filming, capturing professional quality audio, editing, distributing and archiving
  • Experience with A/V equipment
  • Experience and proficiency with DSLR and compact cameras
  • Experience with media formats such as JPEG, MPEG, PDF, etc
  • Ability to place people at ease
  • Good knowledge of English, French is a plus
  • Possibility to work on weekend when needed

Computer skill

  • Working knowledge of Mac and PC computing platforms
  • Strong technical ability in Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom or other similar software
  • Strong technical ability in Adobe Premier Pro or Final Cut Pro
  • Graphic Design experience highly desired
  • Experience in Adobe After Effects strongly desired
