Program Director
Summary of Position
An international NGO promoting programs for children all around the world, is looking for a Program Director.
The Program Director will be responsible for overseeing the programs that support, mentor and educate orphaned children and young adults.
The Program Director will be in charge of Management, Administration, Finance, Communication, Project Development and Growth, Organisational Representation and Networking.
Fluent in English and Khmer, (French is a plus)
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Management:
- Manage all staff in the organization
- Use team building, merit and results based management skills to organize and oversee staff to be a positive and energetic team
- Define roles and jobs, ensure that team is working together cohesively and revise roles according to growth and direction of the organization
- Interview, hire, and fire in-country staff in consultation with US office
Administration/Finance/Communication:
- Work and assist with the accountant in managing the cost of the programs and distribution of money
- Provide writen reports and communicate regularly with the Executive Director and Board of Directors in the US
- Navigate and do necessary paperwork for the Cambodian government and local ministries to maintain good legal and personal relationships with these institutions
Project Development and Growth:
- Develop, adapt and create projects in the arts and education by working with children and young adults
- Understand the working model of program development and growth
- Be creative and innovative to create new ideas for projects
- Must oversee all aspects of current programming ensuring its success
- Understand how to do basic evaluations and monitoring of projects
Organisational representation/networking:
- Assist in the overall capacity building of the organization as a strong and positive NGO in Cambodia
- Help identity and build relationships with any potential financial donors (individual and foundation)
- Create and navigate relationships with staff at the other NGOs working in Cambodia to support common missions
- Be a liaison between the organization and the said institutions to creatively consider collaborations and/or alliances to present to the Executive Director or BOD for consideration

- Ability to create and navigate relationships with other NGO’s
- Ability to travel as needed within Cambodia
- Word, Excel, Email, Powerpoint and basic computer skills
