Programming Officer

Summary of Position

A private university in Phnom Penh is looking for Programming Officer to fulfill their vacancy. This position will be in charge of developing an application using C#.NET VB.net and MS SOL Server under window-based application. Providing algorithms for the applications. Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Developing an application using C#.NET VB.net and MS SOL Server under window-based application;
  • Providing algorithms for the applications;
  • Developing the major components or modules and contributing to design and maintenance of the products;
  • Perform or direct revision, repair, or expansion of existing programs to increase operating efficiency or adapt to new requirements;
  • Creating quality source code, document code and procedures thoroughly;
  • Correct errors by making appropriate changes and then rechecking the program to ensure that the desired results are produced;
  • Writing technical documentation in English and Khmer is optional;
  • Providing technical support and general administration to the team;
  • Creating Ad-I-loc report to user if needed;
  • Maintenance and update in-house database system; and
  • Consult with managerial, engineering, and technical personnel to clarify program intent identify problems, and suggest changes. 

Reporting to

  • Program supervisor 

Experience Required

At least 2 to 3 years of work experience in computer science or related field.

Minimum Educational Level Required

Bachelor's Degree

Other Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree of Computer Science
  • Knowledge of database server such as Ms SQL, Server 2008, MySQL, Moodle, and Elgg platform, etc.
  • Strong knowledge of programming language and technology such as .NET Framework, C#, ASP.NET, Ajax, Ext.Net is a plus
  • Committed
  • Ability to work under pressure
