Room Attendant

Summary of Position

Renaissance Downtown Dubai: currently, we are looking for a candidate in the position Room Attendant. The Room Attendant will service the guest rooms and public areas as per Hotel service standards, while adhering to hotel policies and procedures. Deliver excellent guest service at all times.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Reports for duty punctually wearing hotel uniform and name badge as per grooming standard
  • Collect keys and daily assignments
  • Actively participate in the daily briefing, and take note of VIP rooms, guest preferences and special requests
  • Prepare trolley and equipment in order to perform designated tasks and duties efficiently
  • Maintain and clean guest rooms and Public areas and replenish room supplies as per the Job Aid of the hotel
  • Maintain and clean bathrooms and replenish bathroom amenities according to the Job Aid
  • Inspect all facilities, furniture & fixtures and report any damage to the Style coordinator & Supervisor
  • Tidy and arrange guest belongings when cleaning guest rooms and bathrooms in order to ensure compliance to the standards
  • To complete deep cleaning/general cleaning in Guest rooms & Public areas as per schedule
  • To store and maintain all equipment in its proper place.
  • Inform Valet Service to collect guest clothes for laundry, dry cleaning or pressing
  • Maintain and clean guest corridors, service pantries and service areas in order to ensure a professional and organized appearance
  • Pay attention to busy areas and such as guest lifts, lobby & corridor carpets, restaurants and function rooms
  • Report any maintenance related issues to the Engineering Department to ensure general upkeep and maintenance of facilities
  • Consider guest needs and requirements when working in public areas and guest rooms to ensure courtesy and guest satisfaction
  • Operate in a safe and environmentally friendly way to protect guests’ and employees’ health and safety, as well as protect and conserve the environment
  • Comply with the hotel environmental, health and safety policies and procedures
  • Do not allow any guest or colleagues into the guest rooms without prior approval as per Hotel policy
  • Adhere to Lost and Found procedure
  • Complete all assign rooms in the duty time frame.
  • Re-fill pantry and trolley before leaving the floor/section
  • To complete end of shift procedure & return keys to L&P
  • Carrie out any other duties assigned by the Supervisor & Manager

Experience Required

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar position, 4 to 5 * hotel

Minimum Educational Level Required

High School or equivalent

Minimum Career Level Required

Experienced (Non-manager)

Languages Required

English
