Sea Freight and Air Freight Logistics Sales Manager

Summary of Position

The leading international logistic company specialized in offering its customers around the world the efficiency in supply chain is looking for a Sea Freight and Air Freight Logistics Sales Manager.

The Sea Freight and Air Freight Logistics Sales Manager will be in charge of managing daily sales activities related to sea freight and airfreight services to maximize the sales revenue. 

At least 3-5 years of sales experience in Sea freight/Air freight within logistics service provider business.

Good command of English with persuasive negotiation and presentation skills.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for generating the sales revenues from Air Freight and Sea Freight Services
  • Establish sales objectives and develop annual sales plans
  • Initiate market study to penetrate new customers for business expansion
  • Responsible for sales management including: air transport, ocean transport, domestic transport, logistics services (warehousing / distribution)
  • Responsible for projecting the expected sales volume and profits for existing and new clients
  • Deal with internal/external business group, relevant agents, airlines, sea liners, for latest update for coordinating the pricing, issuing quotations to customer
  • Develop comprehensive pricing strategies for services contracts to enhance the closure of  business deals
  • Responsible and follow up sales inquiries with internal/external customers to obtain the latest business information
  • Responsible for building good business relationship with existing and new clients by conducting sales call, visits and meetings
  • Identify, position and expand opportunities for domestic and international freight services
  • Overlook the sales and marketing activities to create strong brand awareness in the market
  • Contact customers when service issues may affect delivery commitments and understanding customers’ needs in order to recommend appropriate solutions
  • Cooperate between customers and operation team in case of mis-handling happens
  • Follow up and chase for the outstanding in case customer is having financial issue
  • Act as the receiving party for customers’ complaints, investigating and coordinating with the relevant party/operation to resolve issues
  • Pacify the customers whenever there is a service difficulties, such as in the case of cargo delay and changing of schedules
  • Work closely with other departments to support smooth business operation
  • Others responsibilities as assignment by the Management Team

At least 3-5 years of sales experience in Sea freight/Air freight within logistics service provider business

Minimum Educational Level Required

Bachelor's Degree

Experienced (Non-manager)

Languages Required

Good command of English with persuasive negotiation and presentation skills

Other Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in Logistics, Sales, Business Administration or related fields
  • Experience of dealing and good connection with airline and sea liners for pricing practices
  • Extensive knowledge of freight forwarding business, supply chain management, logistics and markets/industries
  • Cambodian national
  • Reliable leadership skills and good team player
  • Analytical/ logical thinking, with ability to analyze feasibility and options
  • Result oriented with ability to prioritize urgency and time frame
  • Reliable working attitude with ability to work under pressure
  • Computer proficient with excel and PowerPoint
