Senior Activation Manager

Summary of Position

Our client is a leading international communication agency in Cambodia. They are looking for a Senior Activation Manager who will be in charge of leading and managing with stakeholder engaged with projects effectively to ensure that they are delivered on time, on budget and to agreed quality standards. He/she will be based in Phnom Penh.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for following department protocols for event planning, including preparing ahead of time adequate schedules and timelines (rehearsals, setups, dismantling…) event contact list, event checklist, production schedules and any other document required to ensure smooth execution;
  • Work very closely with Account Service and supervisor in managing of the project budget, keeping track of expenses and updating the team on costs so that they are able to be communicated to the client as needed especially if it affects budget;
  • On-going reconciliation of all project expenses, including ensuring vendor invoices are accurate and paid and client invoices reflect all approved event expenses;
  • On-site main point of contact for all aspects of event production;
  • Provide immediate response to requests for assistance during events-in-progress and solutions even under high pressure circumstances;
  • Responsible for the quality of service delivered by part time and/or freelance hires;
  • Lead venue site inspections and management including room/space allocations and space confirmations, power requirements, communications systems, load-in and load-out schedules, assessing space, dimensions, measurements, accessibility, venue contracts and agreements (insurance…);
  • Create and maintain company and department policies and procedures including for external vendors, especially cordial work relations internally and externally;
  • Answer any question with good faith from direct or indirect supervisor, continuous written and verbal communication with attention to detail timely information and feedback; 
  • Maintain objectivity in assigning and choosing external suppliers, keeping away from influence from supplier and keeping in mind first and foremost the overall event quality contributed to team and organizational work;
  • Take responsibility for projects/accounts, which may require independent working; 
  • Lead and manage by example and to encourage team work;
  • Foster a ‘can do’ culture of by actively seeking solutions to problems;
  • Proactively monitor competitive activation and provide sound recommendations to your supervisor on a regular basis;
  • All other duties as assigned.

Other Requirements

  • Significant experience in advertising (more than 5 years)
  • Excellent level of English (reading, writing, speaking)
  • Previous experience in beverage industry is a plus
