Our client is an international impact investor with more than 20 years of track record in promoting financial inclusion, particularly in rural areas and in the agricultural sector, target both financial and social/environmental positive impact. They are looking for a Senior Analyst-Equity who will be responsible in developing the water equity investment practice for the new water fund being raised and monitor the existing financial services equity participations. He/she will be based in Phnom Penh.

• Identify equity investment prospects with hands-on support to keep the water pipeline abreast across Asia. Participate in reinforcing a network to facilitate deal sourcing and relationship building with potential clients and other stakeholders
• Support the negotiations of investment conditions (i.e. price, shareholders rights, representation in corporate governance) and prepare the legal documentation
• Manage the due diligence of investments in execution phase and lead preparation of investment proposals to the investment committee (analyze financial statements, business plans and assess financial projections as inputs for decision-making for the investment team, etc.)
• Present and defend proposals before the investment committees to obtain and execute its approvals. Actively support the closing of transactions together with the equity and legal teams to ensure that the conditions agreed are included in the documents
• Monitor existing financial services and safe water equity investments by supporting preparation and possibly attending board of directors and/or shareholders assemblies to maximize the investment value. Bring in technical assistance or other capital plus elements to support the value creation. Actively participate in exit processes of equity investments to generate value to investors
• Support the preparation of marketing materials (pitch deck, business plan, excel based financial model etc.) during fundraising processes
• Keep abreast of economic, financial and political developments in the region
• Collaborate within and across regions to participate in best standards in PE practice

• Senior Equity Investment Manager 

• Bachelor or Master´s degree in finance or economics or a related field
• At least 3 years within the investment field (multi-sector) with existing transaction experience in particular in conducting an instruction processs
• Experience in equity portfolio management, investment strategy development, good knowledge of corporate finance
• Capacity to execute due diligence and write investment memorandums, knowledgeable about Asian economies
• Excellent business analysis and accounting/financial skill
• Hands-on, analytical, empathetic, passionate and commited to inclusive progress
• Proficient in MS Office and particularly in financial modelling in MS Excel
• Good communication skills with entrepreneurial approach and willingness to travel from time to time across Asia
• Passionate about investing in underserved segments and its potential to solve real problems
