Structural Engineer Manager

Summary of Position

Our client is into Real Estate and property management. They are looking for a Structural Engineer Manager who will coordinate, identify and effectively manage designs and/or related drawings for the design projects, construction projects and tendering projects. He/she will be also working closely with structural engineer supervisors to ensure consistency of design output and involving in the development of procedure or workflow to cope with technical issues within the team, projects and/or construction site. He/she will be based in Phnom Penh.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Tendering & Design Projects: 40%

  • Develops conceptual design in line with the company/client’s goal and direction.
  • Develops specific concept of structural design, design brief, calculation notes and technical design sketch for client or tendering.
  • Conduct/check structural design works for technical accuracy.
  • Design, analyse and optimize the work methods for tender stage and construction stage.
  • Check, verify and propose solution for design issues during construction work progress.

Construction Project Design: 40%

  • Conducts complex layout drafting, formulating designs and drawings for various projects.
  • Provides technical design, verification, advice and instruction on structural site implementation/ construction.
  • Serves as a key contact point for multiple projects, collaborative meetings and ensuring projects comply with specifications, budget and timelines.
  • Drafts detailed installation plans and construction methodology for supporting site team.

Project Management & Procedure: 20%

  • Interprets instructions, specifications and communicates information evaluations to corresponding team.
  • Resolves technical conflicts among owners, contractors, and other parties within scope of authority.
  • May oversee the scheduling, assignments, and daily workflow of junior staffs in the department.
  • Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
