Beauty Consultant

Summary of Position

The Body Shop: Currently, we are looing for a Beauty Consultant. 

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • To demonstrate commitment to company values in all shop activities
  • To actively participate in all organized campaigns
  • To openly volunteer and support all community programs where needed
  • To ensure that customer service is the top priority within the shop
  • To ensure that all selling steps are followed to the fullest so as to maximize customer care
  • To handle each case of customer product enquiry/concern promptly and positively
  • To develop and maintain good relations with customers
  • To actively suggest ways and means of improving our customer service and care standards
  • To cooperate fully with management and colleagues at all times to ensure smooth running of the shop operations
  • To maintain a positive attitude towards all work and related activities
  • To ensure that all rules, regulations, policies and regulations are followed at all times
  • To develop a sense of team spirit and problem-solving attitude towards the achievement of work and personal goals
  • To confidently and effectively deal with any work conflicts that may arise
  • To be willing to give and receive feedback from fellow colleagues in efforts to improve overall work performance
  • To be willing to help out at other shops as and when the need arises
  • To be willing to transfer out to other shops when the need arises
  • To actively seek to improve selling techniques
  • To be aware of the sales targets set and to make all efforts within the shop to try to achieve these targets through customer service and product knowledge
  • To make suggestions on how to promote products so as to improve sales
  • To be aware of all merchandising standards so as to maintain proper display of products
  • To be fully aware of all shop promotions and to provide feedback on the effectiveness of these promotions
  • To operate the POS system as and when required maintaining high standards of accuracy, integrity and customer service
  • Follow correct procedures when it comes to customer returns and exchanges
  • To ensure that all merchandising and housekeeping standards are followed and maintained  at all times
  • To ensure that bays are cleaned on a regular basis and that all products are correctly positioned
  • To ensure that feedback is given when stock levels are low and need to be ordered
  • To replenish stocks as and when necessary
  • To help in the receiving of stocks as and when requested by management
  • To ensure that all storage areas and cupboards are maintained properly and all products are stored accordingly
  • To co-operate during window changes so as to ensure a smooth changeover

  • constantly seek to improve one’s knowledge and skills through training
  • participate actively in training sessions in the classroom and at the shop floor
  • minimize wastage and ensure that company property is kept in good condition
  • maintain alertness in all possible security risks
  • be flexible and undertake other duties which may be required
  • participate as an effective team member
